Patternfield has released a new update regarding the old license types for available designs. From now on, license types will be converted to transaction types

Transaction types include:

  • None - If you’d prefer not to specify right now

  • Buyout - This is for full buyout which means you only sell the design once

  • License - A permit to own or use something, do a particular thing, or carry on a trade

  • Buyout or License - The design can either be a buyout or licensed depending on the client’s needs

With old designs, their license types will automatically be replaced as follows:

  • If designs are "None", their transaction type will be "None"

  • If designs are "Buyout", their transaction type will be "Buyout"

  • If designs are "License" or "License or Commercial Exclusive (flat fee)", their transaction type will be "License"

  • If designs are "Negotiable", their transaction type will be "Buyout or License"
